At every flutter in the pulse of optical rhythm,
your countenance mirrors mine, yet twists delight.
We are twin conformations, laid opposite—
a hushed metaphor, winding through chiral light.

Thy cold beauty cannot die, though absent, therapeutic,
a rose-tinted polarization of what I foresee.
Nothing recalls me beyond thy antipode,
where left becomes right, and right becomes me.

Thy goodness and thy darkness—
identical in measure, opposite in spin—
shall not be forgotten.
We rotate the same plane, yet taste different sins.

Thou art my unabridged separation,
perfect mirror, never to superimpose.
A charmed resolution of sight:
two molecules of love,
one hand reaching, the other forever close.

Filosofi:

The poem appears to explore the enduring memory of a beloved’s beauty despite separation, time, or emotional duality. Describing their dynamic like an enantiomer's compounds with it's chirality traits to shows nature’s asymmetry and specificity. Lean into longing, nearness-without-touching, perfect symmetry that still fails to merge. The poem maintained the dreamy, melancholic, and admiring voice with a better balance between sensuality and philosophical reflection.
